Well decided to take a walk to my local charity shop this afternoon which is situated in a school building. The school was shut down not too long ago and has been converted into a community centre and charity shop. The shop is in a classroom which is fun and you have to sign into reception when you enter the building. Today however when I signed in they advised me that the charity shop was closed, I said that I'd pop back another day but they then said they would open it up just for me and let me have a rummage around on my own! Felt like charity shop royalty :o) The Victoria Beckham of the charity shop world -haha! So left to my own devices I got to rummage through boxes and bags as well as what was out on display - was in my element! I found this fabulous rose bedspread:
I love rose print as it is timeless and goes with anything - and throws and bedspreads are ideal for adding that shabby chic look to any piece of furniture. I've photographed it on my sofa to show it in full but am still deciding on where in my house its going to live. I think it might look scrummy on my vintage wooden rocking chair so am going to have a play about and find that perfect spot. This cheeky little buy cost me all of £1!! Goes to show there are still bargains to be found and there really is no need to buy floral bedspreads on the high street when you can pick up a vintage loved bedspread for a fraction of the price which tend to be of better quality and made to last.
