Liberty Bag in the Bag!

I went for a wander into the town centre yesterday with my little boy and decided to have a quick look round TK Maxx as hadn't been in there for a while and I am quite partial to their home wear dept.  I spotted a lonely pot Cath Kidston Cuticle cream on the shelf for £3.99 (instead of the usual £8):

So i went to queue up to buy this little lovely. Now our TK Maxx queue line is a jumble of shelves with loads of odds and sods thrown on them, well what did I find thrown on the shelf right next to my knee:
Only the limited edition Liberty Bag for Comic Relief!! I grabbed it quick and went to the till. The lady serving me said " Blimey where did you find that bag, we haven't got any left and there wont be any more coming in" With slight glee I did tell her someone had obviously not realised the little bit of gold dust they had and had dumped it on the bottom shelving unit.

Now these little beauties cost £12.99 but have been selling on ebay for upwards of £20 (and that's the cheap ones already sold) and I have a feeling that they are going to go up in price still. Does anyone remember the got to have it "I am not a plastic bag" by Anya Hindmarch:

This one went nuts with people in my town queuing in the early hours outside the supermarket after our local paper said that they were getting a delivery of 50 of them the next morning - and yes there were elbows at dawn that day. I didn't go into the fight for that bag and I really couldn't put the effort in to get one lol  - but they did sell for ridiculous prices on ebay which then spurred the rise of the fake Hindmarch bags which overtook my local market.

I know the Liberty bag is not going to go a crazy as the Hindmarch bag but its still a little gem, and nope I'm not going to be putting it on ebay as I do love it. So it's going to on my arm this sunday on my boot sale treasure hunt and may it bring me lots more bargain hunting treasure finding luck :o)

  8. Great finds, Scarlett. I can't get to grips with TK Maxx. It's just tooooo big and there's just toooooooooooo much stuff. I was in one, the other day, for about 2 minutes, and then I had to leave! Couldn't cope! (I know, I'm seriously bonkers).
