Photo thanks to the ebay listing :o) |
I really don't know how I would have ever have furnished my home without the help of eBay and its vintage furniture treasures!
I also visited a jumble sale on Saturday which was a treasure trove of M&S Per Una clothes and Monsoon dresses for 20p each. I took away two bags full and am busy now ebaying them all while its a free listing day - hoorah! I have no idea why but Per Una clothes sell so well on La Bay that it would have been crazy to leave them for that price. The other good news was that apparently they are going to be having a jumble sale there pretty much every Saturday - eeeeeee!!
I've also got my boot sale bits to show, they'll be my next post.
Hope you have all had an amazing weekend.

I love art-deco style. It is beautifull!
ReplyDeleteJumble sale EVERY Saturday? Did you say EVERY Saturday? Well jel.
ReplyDeleteLove the dressing table. Looking forward to seeing how you transform it to a desk. xx
very pretty dressing table. I'm so glad we all need a laptop desk now and can rescue these sweethearts.
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this dressing table, can't wait to see it in your home xxx
ReplyDeleteA weekly jumble sale - wow, you lucky devil. Sounds like you had some wonderful finds yesterday too. I find that both Per Una and Monsoon are always good sellers on ebay. Loving your Art Deco dressing table / desk.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty indeed, although I'm bemused by the seller's styling. I get the 'nice reflection' thing, but am unsure about the shoe trees and pebbles. Mind you, what do I know - you've seen my blog photographs!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your lots for 'ladies of a certain age' ;-)
What a beautiful desk - I have been after a dressing table like this on ebay for ages - but they always go for soo much! Well done for finding this gem! x
ReplyDeleteGreat choice, older furniture looks somuch more solid and confident than the modern, wonky, nervous crap sold in bulk.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to remember the Per Una tip, I do remember selling a repulsive blouse for 5 times what I paid for it once.
You seem to be on a bit of a roll lately. Look forward to seeing the desk 'in-situ'.

Oh that dressing table is gorgeous, oooooh a jumble sale every saturday thats what dreams are made of. I still need to post my finds, not much today as it was raining,so lack of sellers. Plus we been painting our bedroom, have lots of junk to sort out.
ReplyDeleteI love that dressing table. I would not have thought about using it for a desk but it's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat desk.
ReplyDeleteI know, my mother-in-law went thru a phase of buying Per Una clothes and then only wearing them once or not at all and then giving them to me to ebay!!! Money money money!!! lol!
-x-
The dressing table-cum-desk is lovely hun, good number of drawers too so stacks of storage for all your bits and pieces :-)
ReplyDeleteJem xXx
I am very jealous of that - it's damn fine!!
ReplyDeleteI promise I am not a copy cat, but when I saw your post...I couldn't believe it! I was going to post an almost duplicate of your dressing table! Wow, they say, "good minds think the same". I will wait until next week. Watch for it...stay tuned! Hugs! Loretta
ReplyDeleteMy Gran had a similar dressing table - I love it! If I had a mirror above my desk I'd stare at my mug all the time and see all the flaws and be constantly depressed. :)
ReplyDeletethat is gorgeous.. it could be a dressing table aswell as a desk couldnt it love it!!

That dressing table is gorgeous i love the style of the mirror ;-)) Wow sounds like those clothes will sell well to ;-)) Have a great week, dee x
ReplyDeleteI would have to cover that mirror with a big sheet so I couldn't see myself if it was my desk Scarlett...scary! It is lovely though and will make a perfect little desk. Have a good week x
ReplyDeleteOh it is absolutely gorgeous! I am sure it will look great in your home.
ReplyDeleteI am currently on the search for something like that.
Lovely desk/dressing table!! I need to look-up Per Una. Never heard of it. Take care
ReplyDeleteLove the dresser and maybe you can cover the mirror with some corkborad and fabric and make a pinboard for now when using your PC there.
ReplyDeleteDo send me your ebay user name in case I want to buy something.
Still no parcel???
Just gorgeous! I notice you have some awards on your blog page down the side. I nominated you for one a couple of posts back on my blog. I didn't contact anyone I nominated because I didn't want anyone to feel that they HAD to accept (involves telling us a bit about yourself). Check it out though if you like, I think your blog is great!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous I love the style of it! My desk is my bed and my lap ha ha.
