Boot Sale Buys Part 1

What an amazing bargain hunting weekend I've had.  The three boot sales proved to be a bit of a winner for me in finding treasures and I'm sure I found something to suit everyones tastes! As there are a fair few bits (I havent even photographed the antique fair buys yet) I'm going to split the boot sale bonanza into two parts....just to drag it out a little more ;o)

So less chat more pictures, here's the first of the finds:

Vintage solid perfume compacts (one still has the perfume inside but it smells a bit funky now)  £3.00 for the two.

Law of attraction means I found some more vintage playing cards. Totally loving the glitter box! £1.

Little book 'The Language of Flowers', very handy if you want to see the meaning of each flower. Beware of receiving a bouquet of yellow roses from a loved one as it apparently means "Decrease of Love, Jealousy" eek!  I paid a whole 5p for this little beauty!

Tea and cake wall decals. Next price £15 boot sale price 50p :o)

Old toffee tin which contains draught pieces - 50p

Vintage dressing table mirror 50p

Stratton compact with original pouch - £1 (yes the collection is getting bigger by the week!)

1950s Bambi, he has a broken tail which has been stuck back on but for 30p he's a cutie.

Do you remember recognise this 70s bambi?  I used to have the whole set when I was little, it consisted of mummy deer with a gold chain on her neck attached to two baby deer.  Alas the seller only had this baby left, took it home for 10p :o)

The Twilight Saga tin with 4 journals. Although I'm not that into the whole Twilight craziness I do like this tin and the journals are always useful, and hey for 50p it would have been rude not to buy this.

Two sets of vintage bird coasters, very on trend ;o) Both came with in their original boxes - 50p a set!

1960s dress which i think will fit in nicely with a bit of 1950s styling - £1

Oh and one more pic:
Cute little case with a bit of added 'bird' ;o)

I've got a few more to show you yet!  I'll get my bum into gear today and get the rest photographed and will hopefully share tomorrow. You'll also have to wait till tomorrow for this weeks installment of 'Witnessed at a boot sale' - I bet you are on the edge of your seats lol.

Happy Monday All!

Scarlett x

  12. That dressing table mirror is a real find. If you felt like desecrating it you could put one of your own cross-stitch designs in. I used to buy these from Framecraft to do just that!
