Bit of Craft

Its been a while since I've shown you a craft make of mine on here - manly because i haven't had time to scratch my butt let alone get my craft on.

Well I finally got the mod podge back out to make a couple of Cath Kidston print decs for the tree. I admit I am loving CK's bird print on the Christmas collection but alas not that keen on the price tag.

So I bought myself some wooden tree shapes at a craft shop and painted them white:

And with a packet of Cath Kidston bird print napkins and some mod podge I have myself a couple more tree decorations:

Now I just need to get the Christmas tree up!

Anyone else not got the decorations and tree up yet?

Love to you all

  4. You are mod podge Queen, you are. And a genius - but I'm always saying that. Love those decs. Excellent job. We do have our decs up. Jim and dd put them up while I was out this week. Which is good because I have tantrums if I have to put up the decs (I really do...). Have a wonderful weekend. xx

  7. Very cute! A rare Kidston thumbs up from me. Surprise surprise, I haven't trimmed up yet. My house has no spare wall, floor or shelf space so my decorations always look a bit out of place.
I'd love to perfect that home made look with a real tree, wreath, paper chains etc. One day. When I have my dream house!
Have a brilliant weekend hun x

  8. Like Luce, I'm giving them the thumbs up despite the CK print - I'm a lot more forgiving of cute on Christmas decorations! You've done a brilliant job, and so much cheaper than buying from the lady herself. More Christmas crap from me coming up!

    xx

  9. I don't have my tree up yet. I wait until after the 10th to decorate unlike my son-in-law who decorates the day after Thanksgiving. That's way too early for me.

  18. What a fab idea! I may give these a go. I think they would make great little gift tags for pressies, that the receiver can use afterwards as a decoration. Off to buy some napkins and find my mod podge (hidden somewhere in this house of mine, I sure).
    Have a nice weekend

  22. Gorgeous make! I'm definitely in the pro-CK camp, so I'm loving the pattern of these trees, and think that you've come up trumps with using napkins for a cheaper alternative!

No tree up at mine, but then we dont really have room for one....but no decs out at all yet, mainly because I vetoed the idea of getting them out today...well, it was raining and they live in the garage!
