....well you know me, its got to be vintage powder compacts. My collection has had a couple of new additions which I picked up at a vintage fair. These are my new beauties:
I was so excited when I spied this little vintage Kigu suitcase compact, and even more so when i checked it out inside...
...and saw the little Bon Voyage inscription. What a fabulous travelling gift this must have been for someone. I paid £5 and am over the moon with it.
From the same seller I also offered this vintage New York souvenir compact. Its very worn but adds to its charm. I couldn't resit for £2.

So that my favourite thing on friday and im linking up to mimi and tilly.
Now we have had the lovely how about something that I loath on a friday, that would be bad parking. This is what I saw today at the supermarket run:
AAAARGH!!! The car park was full with people waiting for spaces too! I wonder if they came back to find their car in the same condition as they left it?

I LOVE those compacts. I can totally see why you have a thing for them, they are such gorgeous little items! My fave is definitely the Bon Voyage suitcase, with the New York one a close second. Although the glorious colours of the others are lovely too... Oh I just love 'em all!

One driver got even with a woman one day...when she came back to her car, he'd parked behind her in a way she couldn't move...ou should have heard the trash coming out of her mouth! What-goes- around-comes-around, right? Love Ya!

I love compacts!! I save some and they also sell well in my booth, everyone loves them. Oh, the way people park, did you say it was at the grocery store, I wonder if someone coated her car with fresh eggs?

Those compacts brought back such wonderful memories. When I was a little girl, I remember my mom using her compact. Powder and lipstick were all she used. I thought it was such a feminine thing to do.

Oh gawd I am so envious of your amazing finds, especially the suitcase with the sweet message. I can cope with other people's bad driving - coz I'm such a good one;), but bad parking is unforgivable!

The silver one is gorgeous but I think my heart would have pounded through my chest at the inscribed message. Don't you just want to know the story of it all? What a wonderful find. They are all just too pretty.

Love all those compacts! My grandma used to always carry one, which I'm betting was probably vintage, but I didnt inherit it, alas!
